The UV Safe Comic Mantle
99% UV Safe Display Shelf for All Types of Comic Books!
The shelf is made of .75" thick HDPE (High Density Polyethylene) which a strong plastic that will not chip, split, crack, fade(color) and is nearly unbreakable!
The acrylic is 99% UV Safe OP3 Museum Grade Acrylic. This is the best UV protection available, there is no such thing as 100% UV safe "clear" glass or acrylic.
***PLEASE NOTE The acrylic may look tinted or dark in the pictures, this is only to show the acrylic as it is sometimes hard to see in after the editing of the pics. The acrylic is clear and will show off your comics beautifully!
-There are Keyhole slots in the back of the shelf that allow you you to securely mount the shelf to your wall. Two screws are included with the shelf for mounting**(read below)
- A rounded groove routed into the shelf makes for a nice channel for your comic books to rest in.
-The UV Safe acrylic slides into a slot in the shelf preventing your comic books from falling forward off the shelf
-Available in 18", 26" and 42" lengths to accommodate your personal wall size. Mount them side by side if you have more room to fill!
-Choose from white or black shelves for the look you want to achieve on your walls
***Damaging UV light is emitted most heavily from direct sunlight. Although much less, Incandescent and Fluorescent light bulbs will emit some damaging UV rays. Displaying or mounting your comic book, even with UV safe acrylic, in direct sunlight is never recommended!

**Mounting tips.
Use the included screws(preferably) or nails in your wall to hang the shelf. If possible try to drive screws into areas of your wall that will hit the stud. Using drywall anchors is also helpful. Insert the screws far enough so that the heads are about 1/4" out from the wall, slide the shelf onto the screws, if the shelf is loose or wiggles up and down take the shelf back off and turn the screws into the wall slightly further. Slide the shelf back on over the screws, repeat this process until you are satisfied with the sturdiness of the shelf.
Position your comics on the shelf in the half round channel and then insert your acrylic front into the slot and enjoy your UV Safe Comic Shelf!
