Hang Your Comics Side by Side in One Awesome Frame!
Returning Early 2024!!!
This wood frame is CNC machined for consistent accuracy and is cut from one solid piece of material! Not pieced together with glue, screws or nails like other frames, what does this mean for you?....DURABILITY!
The heavy duty Black Powder Coat finish is another characteristic that makes our frames extra special! No dry or rough edges, no chemical off-gassing from paint, just a baked on durable and beautiful high quality finish on high quality frames for your high quality comic books!
The rear load design makes removal and switching your books simple and quick, similar to most other frames it comes with a clear front and a black backer to hold your work of art in place inside the frame. This is our Museum Edition Frame which means that for the front piece you get a 99% UV Blocking** crystal clear piece of Museum Grade acrylic(no glass to break). The black plastic backer board is also acid free, will not off-gas and is safe to come in contact with your comic book!
An integrated keyhole slot routed into the back of the frame makes for a safe and secure hanging point from a simple screw or nail in your wall.
Overall Frame Dimensions:
measures 17.25" long x12.5"tall
NOTE* A common question is if a bag and board is needed when using these frames? Simply put, it is not necessary but it is up to you! Here are a few things to consider, a backer board is never necessary as the acrylic front and hard plastic backer are much more rigid than any backer board. Next if you do decide you want to use a sleeve we suggest using a Mylar or Polyester type of sleeve and never a Polyethylene (or Poly) bag as it will wrinkle. A Mylar (Mylite) sleeve is much more rigid and clear and looks MUCH nicer in the frame. I can say that we have never used any type of sleeve when displaying any of our comics in our frames(and we have been doing it for 10 years!) but we have tested using them just so we can offer solid advice and the Mylar works well. We like to trim the Mylar sleeve top and sides down so that it fits better inside the pocket of the frame and allows for better centering of the comic so that it looks nice in the frame. Again, this choice is strictly up to you and these are just recommendations should you chose to put your comic in a sleeve before mounting it into the frame.
***Damaging UV light is emitted most heavily from direct sunlight. Although much less, Incandescent and Fluorescent light bulbs will emit some damaging UV rays. Displaying or mounting your comic book, even with UV blocking acrylic, in direct sunlight is never recommended!
